Parting Thoughts

The importance of practicing writing cannot be overstressed. Writing skill accumulates over time through the simple act of writing a lot. It's similar to many other skills in this regard. And yet, it is much easier to practice writing than, say, skydiving.

Driving a car, is a good analogy. You need to clock in many thousands of miles of drive time in order to achieve that effortless execution that makes novices look at you and think that whatever you're doing looks easy. The biggest difference between writing and driving is that writing mistakes are hardly ever fatal.

I hope you enjoy these holiday writing prompts. Use them to expand your repertoire and sharpen your skills as a writer. But most of all, have fun!
